CPU3D Exclusive: Interview with Kul from YoYoTech - House of Technology

We went out on a day trip to London, capital of United Kingdom ... to experience the wonderful atmosphere and to enjoy some great sight seeing. Then a thought came to me ... why not check out London's most famous retail computer store ... YoYoTech. This store is a haven for enthusiasts, and it's definitely worth checking out next time you're in London.

YoYoTech

YoYotech is located on 30 Windmill Street, which is situated just off Tottenham Court Road. It is a thriving retail computer store selling everything from PC systems to hardware components. They also have a online store with their complete catalogue range ... please visit http://www.yoyotech.co.uk. They cater for all types of customers from the hardcore enthusiasts to mainstream and budget users. YoYotech has approximately 10 members of staff, and the main head honcho is Kul Singh. We conducted a brief interviewed with Kul Singh ... and asked what he thought of CPU3D.

The Floor

The shop itself is a L-Shaped unit, and the shelves are packed with stock. It does give the impression that YoYoTech is shop that's well stocked and well managed. You'll see numerous brands of motherboards, graphic cards, cases etc ... you name it, they've got it. And if they haven't ... they can get it the next day. Just take a look at those Sapphire Radeon HD4870's ... it's one of YoYoTech's big sellers.

A well stocked store is a sign of its success ... I can't fault the fact, that I can get literally anything I want here. It's truely an enthusiast's haven. There's even some watercooling components and pre-built modded PCs in stock. Near the entrance, YoYoTech has cover one side of the wall with LCD monitors ... it does look amazing.

The Interview

Winston: Hi Kul, I'm Winston from CPU3D ... How are you?
Kul Singh: Hi Winston, I'm fine thanks. It's really nice to finally meet you. So, you must be that Winston from CPU3D ...

Winston: Yes I am ... but not as famous as YoYotech ... LOL! So, tell me little about the history of YoYotech.
Kul Singh: Well, YoYoTech was first established in 2001, and it's the trading name for Antech Direct Limited. We specialise in computer hardware from complete systems to PC components.

Winston: Who are you main customers?
Kul Singh: We cater for all types of customers from the hardcore enthusiasts to mainstream and budget users ... including business users. We aim to continue our top quality service in all these areas.

Winston: And what new plans do you have instore for your customers?
Kul Signh: Well, we will be starting an express checkout service real soon. This involves a customer placing their order by phone or online ... then they'll need to pay a 10% deposit. We pack the order here, and it's ready for collection after the remaining balance is paid at our expess checkout. Also we're in the middle of a re-furb, and we'll have a new area with a glass window showing our highly trained technicians working and building a PC. It will give our customers an insight of how professional we are ... we take pride in our work.

Winston: That's GREAT and it sounds really exciting ... Well done. I noticed you are now selling compete systems, which are made to order with your online PC configurator. How is it doing, and is this something you can see a lot of growth in?
Kul Singh: Yes, I believe there's plenty of growth and potential in "made to order systems" ... our online PC configurator allow users to customise their system build according to their budget. In fact, we've sent you an Intel Nova XT gaming system for you to review ... how is it?

Winston: Yes, it's doing great so far ... full review coming soon. OK, one more question. Are you looking to expand or maybe have another retail outlet soon?
Kul Singh: We're always looking to give our customers the best in value for money, the best service and the best products. If things go well ... I can't see why not. Maybe you'll see a YoYoTech store near you soon ... but in the meantime, we'll take it one step at a time ;)

Winston: Of course ... these things take time. Well, it's been a pleasure speaking with you. I hope YoYoTech will continue its great success. I'm sure we'll be hearing a lot from you real soon. Thanks Kul for your time.
Kul Singh: My pleasure Winston. It's been nice talking with you too.
