GeForce 8200 hit by heat issues "Fudzilla has been informed that Nvidia is having some heat issues with its upcoming top of the range IGP, the MCP78U, as it produces too much heat and as such needs active cooling. This does't seem to have gone down well with Nvidia's partners and some have dropped this product before it even has launched. Since this IGP will mainly be used on mATX motherboards, it seems like motherboard makers aren't happy to use a fan cooled chipset heatsink, especially when the MCP78S and AMD's RS780 doesn't need the additional cooling. It looks like it's all good news for AMD, at least on the IGP market for its own CPUs, if it wasn't for the fact that AMD is having problems ramping up its CPU perforance, but hopefully this will be fixed sooner rather than later as well."
