Coolermaster looks to strengthen their enthusiast market share with the CM Stacker 832. INTRODUCTIONCoolermater has been around for quite a while. I remember one of the first CPU coolers I used to cool my Intel Pentium 133 was made by Coolermaster. They specialise in producing CPU coolers, chassis and now power supplies. They have, over the past few years, become one of the leading manufacturers in thermal products for PCs. So much so, they have teamed up with both AMD and Intel to become official partners. If you have the chance to go to any computer exhibitions, you'll notice that most of the manufacturers will use (or have used) Coolermaster products, especially their chassis to demonstrate their new range of graphic cards and motherboards. During this year's CeBit exhibition in Hanover, Germany ... the AMD booth almost all used Coolermaster chassis, the same goes for some Nvidia partners demonstrating their Geforce 8800GTS in SLI mode.
Thanks to Coolermaster, YoYoTech and our CPU3D review team, we'll be taking a look at the Coolermaster CM Stacker 832 chassis. The CM Stacker 832 is one of Coolermaster's high-end chassis and is aimed at the enthusaist market. The chassis is constructed from high quality aluminum and comes in a full tower size, with the added bonus of optional wheels which can be easily fitted. It offers several interesting features including a screwless design for rom drives, and plenty of extra cooling via a special removeable panel inside the chassis, which has room for upto 4 x 120mm fans. It also features both side panels with mesh grilles, and a removeable solid front chassis panel. Another interesting feature is that you'll find the mesh grilles on both the underside and the top of the chassis ... great for extra cooling. So, you could say one of the main emphasis about the CM Stacker 832 chassis is really designed with cooling in mind.
Coolermaster seems to be doing very well lately. They have now expanded their product range to include high-end power supplies and new CPU/VGA coolers. They will continue to produce top quality products for the mainstream market but for now, they look to strengthen their share in the enthusiast market with the CM Stacker 832. However, competition is near too far with the likes of OCZ, Thermaltake and Lian-Li.
From my first initial reaction, I can say that the Coolermaster CM Stacker 832 looks to be very good chassis offering great features and excellent build quality. Let's not waste any more time and have a look at the official specifications and some close up photos.
