Gigabyte Cyclops VGA Cooler ... Looks good and does a great job

Introduction

Its been a while since I last reviewed a VGA cooler. After all, most reference VGA cards now come with a reference VGA cooler like the ones that come with the Radeon X1950 or the Geforce 8800GT. However these factory standard VGA coolers only perform upto a certain level because of their silent and slim design restricting airflow and heat dissipation. Aftermarket VGA coolers on the other hand have various designs and performance most of which will usually cool better than the factory standard cooler.

Gigabyte

Gigabyte has provided us with their very first line of VGA coolers called the Cyclops.

The Gigabyte Cyclops uses radial airflow over an oval shaped heatsink with fins giving and all round heat dissipating effect, not only that but it can be fitted on both ATI and Nvidia platforms but upto a certain level of VGA card.

The Gigabyte Cyclops also comes with RAM heatsinks which are cooled from the airflow from the main unit, so it gives an all round cooling package.

Lets see what the Cyclops has to offer...
