Gigabyte Spring Break Plug-Fest 2008

This year Gigabyte have gone out of their way, to really promote their up-and-coming motherboards based on Intel's lastest P45 chipset, which is still under NDA. We were invited to attend their exclusive, invitation-only event at their head quarters in Taipei, Taiwan.

DFI LanParty DK X38 T2RB Motherboard
DFI have made much of its success through their NF4 DR Expert motherboards a few years ago ... now it seems they are about to do the same again with their DK series of motherboards. Xigmatek HDT-D1284 CPU Cooler
Ultra quiet heatpipe CPU coolers are now everywhere. The Xigmatek HDT-D1284 CPU cooler features a new technology called Heatpipe Direct Touch. It consists of 4 ultra-thick copper heatpipes which are exposed at the base of the heatsink unit. This allows direct contact with the processor. OCZ Vendetta 2 CPU Cooler

Thermaltake DuOrb CPU Cooler
We take a look at the Thermaltake DuOrb CPU cooler. This cooler looks mighty impressive and features an all copper base with 6 cooper heatpipes, that fan out into 2 orb-shaped arrays of pure copper fins. The whole unit is then cooled by 2 x 80mm fans with red and blue LEDs. It just looks fantastic ! Will it be enough to cool our CPU?
